WARRANTY, CARE & TERMS
WARRANTY, CARE & TERMS
INTRODUCTION
This 12-month X-press warranty applies to eligible products and installation work supplied by X-press Wraps. It operates in addition to any rights and remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law and any applicable manufacturer warranty.
X-PRESS 12-MONTH WARRANTY
X-press Wraps provides a 12-month in-house warranty on eligible vehicle wraps, vehicle graphics and signage supplied and installed by X-press Wraps.
This warranty covers defects arising from the materials supplied by X-press or from our installation workmanship during the 12-month warranty period.
Where a claim is accepted under this warranty, X-press will repair or replace the affected material as appropriate, including reasonable removal and reinstallation required to rectify the warrantable failure.
This X-press warranty operates in addition to any applicable manufacturer warranty and any rights and remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
WHAT OUR WARRANTY COVERS
Our 12-month in-house warranty covers failures directly attributable to:
• defective materials supplied by X-press
• installation workmanship
• premature lifting, adhesion failure or other installation-related defects where the underlying vehicle or substrate was suitable for wrapping
• replacement and reinstallation of material where required to rectify an accepted warranty claim
The appropriate remedy will depend on the nature and extent of the issue.
WHAT OUR WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER
Our 12-month in-house warranty does not cover damage or failure caused by circumstances unrelated to defective material or X-press workmanship, including:
• accidents, impact damage or road debris
• negligence, misuse or deliberate damage
• storm, hail, extreme weather or other external events
• normal wear and tear
• scratches, chips or physical damage occurring after installation
• damage caused by unsuitable cleaning products, aggressive pressure washing or improper maintenance
• modifications, repairs or work carried out by another person after installation
• pre-existing vehicle, paint or substrate defects
• adhesion or paint failure caused by compromised, deteriorated, repaired or unsuitable surfaces
• areas specifically identified as carrying additional installation or adhesion risk
• wrapping over badges, emblems or other surfaces where the customer has requested they remain in place and their presence affects film adhesion or finishing
These exclusions apply to the X-press voluntary warranty and do not exclude any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
PAINT & SURFACE CONDITION
A professional wrap relies on the condition of the surface underneath it.
Vehicles or substrates with failing clear coat, peeling or flaking paint, rust, heavy oxidation, chalky paint, deteriorated surfaces or other unstable finishes may not be suitable for wrapping.
X-press carries out a reasonable visual assessment before installation; however, we cannot always identify previous repairs, poor paint adhesion or defects beneath the visible surface.
Customers must advise X-press of any known resprayed or repaired panels, touch-ups, paint defects, body repairs, previous wrap or adhesive issues, or other known surface problems.
Where the underlying paint or substrate is compromised, X-press cannot guarantee the same adhesion, durability or removal outcome that would normally be expected on sound factory paintwork.
REPAINTED & NON-OEM PAINT
Repainted or repaired panels can often be wrapped successfully, but aftermarket paint systems vary significantly in quality and adhesion.
The installation or later removal of vinyl may expose weaknesses in repaired or non-original paintwork.
X-press's 12-month warranty does not cover paint or substrate failure caused by poor adhesion, inadequate preparation, insufficient curing or another pre-existing issue with
repaired or non-OEM surfaces.
Where there is uncertainty about paint condition, X-press may recommend inspection or further advice before proceeding.
COMPOUND & HIGH-STRESS AREAS
Vehicle design can create areas where wrap film is subjected to unusually high levels of stretch, heat, tension, wear or movement.
Examples include:
• deep recesses and channels
• sharp ridges and complex curves
• heavily stretched areas
• high-wear locations
• areas exposed to unusually high heat or environmental stress
Where practical, X-press will identify known high-risk areas during the assessment or installation process.
Failures caused specifically by the physical limitations of wrap film in a disclosed compound or high-stress area may fall outside our 12-month voluntary warranty.
This does not affect rights available under the Australian Consumer Law.
WRAP CARE
Correct care helps maximise the appearance and service life of vehicle wrap films.
We recommend:
• regular hand washing using suitable automotive products
• removing bird droppings, insects, tree sap and other contaminants as soon as practical
• avoiding harsh solvents or aggressive chemicals
• keeping pressure-washer nozzles a sensible distance from film edges
• avoiding aggressive polishing or abrasive products unless suitable for the particular wrap finish
X-press can provide specific care advice for gloss, satin, matte, metallic and specialty films.
WARRANTY CLAIMS
Warranty claims should be reported to X-press Wraps as soon as reasonably practical after the issue becomes apparent and within the applicable 12-month X-press warranty period.
Customers should provide:
• name and contact details
• vehicle or project details
• approximate installation date
• description of the issue
• photographs where practical
X-press may need to inspect the vehicle or product before determining the appropriate remedy.
Approved warranty repairs are normally carried out at our workshop.
Unless otherwise required by law, the customer is responsible for presenting the vehicle or product to X-press for assessment.
Replacement material installed as part of an X-press voluntary warranty repair will normally continue for the remaining period of the original 12-month warranty, rather than commencing a new 12-month period.
For warranty claims, contact X-press Wraps at 47 Red Cedar Dr, Coffs Harbour NSW 2450, phone (02) 6652 2404, or email info@x-press.com.au.
BODYFENCE PAINT PROTECTION FILM
BODYFENCE Paint Protection Film may also be covered by a separate manufacturer warranty provided by HEXIS/BODYFENCE.
The applicable warranty period and conditions depend on the BODYFENCE product installed and the current manufacturer warranty conditions.
Manufacturer warranty requirements may include product registration, correct installation, care and maintenance.
The BODYFENCE manufacturer warranty is separate from the X-press 12-month in-house warranty and from rights available under the Australian Consumer Law.
QUOTES, DEPOSITS & ARTWORK
• Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
• A 50% deposit is required before work begins, including detailed artwork/proof preparation.
• No detailed artwork is supplied before the required deposit and confirmation.

VEHICLE PREPARATION & COLLECTION
• Vehicles should arrive reasonably clean and free from excessive dirt, mud or contamination.

• Additional cleaning or preparation required because of excessive contamination may incur an additional charge.
• Customers should disclose known paint repairs, resprays or surface issues before installation.
